Alejandro Sarete
Executive Director · Senior Editor
Alejandro is a multimedia artist and filmmaker with a BFA in Film & Television from NYU Tisch (’16), where he concentrated in production sound and stop-motion animation. He has been the studio’s senior editor since day one. Virtually every Sour Pickles TV and ComicLeigh video has passed through his timeline. He serves as executive producer and motion graphics artist on The Brine.
Jake Rogers
Head Writer · Co-Executive Producer
Jake holds a BFA in Dramatic Writing from NYU Tisch (’16), where he concentrated in television and sketch comedy writing. He’s the head writer and story editor across Sour Pickles TV and ComicLeigh, and head writer and producer on The Brine. He is an actor and a comedian, featured in many of the SPTV sketches, and performs live sketch comedy in New York when he isn't working here.
Leigh Silver
Creative Director
Leigh is the ideas guy: he conceives the studio’s projects and develops them with the team. A graduate of the New York Film Academy’s documentary program, he is the head researcher and director of The Brine, the realization of a dream he’s carried since watching Ken Burns’ Baseball in the ’90s. He is also the secret identity behind the Confused Reviewer, the ruthless film critic who savagely skewers the movies that have lost the plot. He is a New York native and a sports fanatic, and can freestyle an entire dissertation on any sport, at any given time in history. He's a better source for sports facts (and way funnier) than ChatGPT!
